Sidemount

Usually, your scuba tank is on your back when you dive. With a side mount configuration, the tanks can be at your side, below your shoulders or next to your hips. It eliminates the danger of entanglement and it’s easier to reach your valves and regulators. There is no need to reach behind your shoulder – your valve is right in front of you!

With two tanks, you can get longer dives, fully taking advantage of the increased no-stop time that enriched air allows. The streamlined profile reduces drag and makes moving through the water easier and more efficient. So you end up using less energy, allowing your air to last longer. Learn:

  • How to manage the gas supply using two separate tanks
  • How to plan and make recreational no-stop dives
  • Emergency procedures
  • Equipment systems and configuration options
  • Optimal adjustments for fit and trim

You will spend one day learning sidemount theory and practive in pool sessions. On the second day, you will complete 3 ocean dives. You can also count experience from this course towards the 5 dives you need to become PADI Advanced Open Water diver.
